Where is the love?

December 28, 2006 By: Z Category: Current Events No Comments →

As the Blackeyed Peas famously said, “Where is the Love?”

After a string of Christmas day robberies, taking thousands of dollars of money off the hands of several churches, the Christmas day crooks were caught today with $6,000 in cash. The Associated Press reports,

NEW YORK – Two men were arrested in the callous Christmas Day theft of tens of thousands of dollars in donations from a church, and about $6,000 in cash was recovered, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Damn right! You can’t rob a church on Christmas.

…and I have total disregard for all that The Dailyhook stands for! Why is Linsay Lohan always in the news over worthless stuff? Why does anyone even care about this girl? Most importantly, why am I even posting news on her?

Actress Lindsay Lohan shared the stage with strippers for an evening at a New York City nightclub, according to The New York Post’s Page Six.

Woman Struck by R Train

December 24, 2006 By: Z Category: Current Events No Comments →

Yesterday morning a woman was struck by the R train while she was standing on the platform somewhere between 95th St and 36th St in Brooklyn. I hate to be cruel but they have the yellow line on the platform for a reason. Apparently she was standing on the platform with her husband when she was struck by the train. If it turns out that she was pushed in front of the train, I’m truly a dick.

Fortunately I am not in the city right now or else I’m sure I would have been caught up in this sad event as I take the R train every day.

I’ll help this spammer out a little bit because its hilarious,

As she was trying parishilton sex tape regain her composure he pulled her up on her knees and pressed his semi-hard cock to her serrate lips.

..I found this in my logs. This is one reason I don’t implement better spam protection. It very often brings a smile to my face, plus it helps me uncover good niches to document!

Google Graffiti

Image from The Sun Online.

In today’s world, graffiti has gone high tech. Teens are no longer tagging up bathrooms but they have have rather moved on to BIGGER things. Ben Ashford of The Sun writes,

PRANKSTERS drew a willy on the roof of a top school that was so large it could be spotted from SPACE. But it went unnoticed until it was seen on Google Earth.

A group of ex-pupils was last night blamed for the rude shape — snapped by satellite.

This is great. Check out the rest of the Google Earth Graffiti article.

Scary: Possible NYC Infrastructure Problem on the Horizon

December 14, 2006 By: Z Category: Current Events No Comments →

I came across this article today which discusses the possibility that by 2030 NYC may experience widespread infrastructure problems. This is pretty much a given considering the rise in the global population, but it is still pretty scary to think about. 2030 is really just around the corner. Major changes will need to be made by then if the city wishes to put these infrastructure worries to rest. The AP writes,

NEW YORK (AP) — By the year 2030, New York City could have so many people straining its infrastructure that it won’t have enough electricity or housing to meet demand and rush hour traffic will last all day.

He’s Figuring Himself Out …

December 07, 2006 By: Z Category: Partners No Comments →

Steve over at Figuring Myself Out is a friend of The Daily Hook. He is also the guy featured in the PayPerPost screenshot below making over $1k by participating in their ‘Consumer Generated Advertising’ program. But, none of this is important. What is important is that Steve runs a pretty nice, informative blog and if you need some high quality reading material you should join Steve on his journey as he attempts to figure himself out. I sure as hell can’t figure the guy out, so maybe you can help him!

Michael Loves Nick Lachey

Nick Lachey

Some of you may think this is an immature post on my part, but come on, Nich Lachey was a member of a boy band and was stalked by millions of girls for the later part of the 90s. I’m not saying Nick Lachey is a not a good guy. I don’t know him, but he probably is. I do know one thing that, that ‘Michael’ from New Jersey is most likely a very feminine male! I’m just making an educated guess. Feel free to argue with me, but if you do, prepare to get flamed.
