Air Conditioned T-shirts??

July 31, 2006 By: Z Category: Product Mentions No Comments →

Some ex-Sony guy is manufacturing air conditioned T-shirts that have two fans built-in. I can’t decide if this is revolutionary or just retarded. You decide!

Fashion Blogs

July 31, 2006 By: Z Category: Fashion No Comments →

For all of you that want an alternative to shopping at the Good Will and Salvation Army in order to maintain your committment to the hipster style, I have just the solution for you.

Slate magazine recently wrote an article highlighting several picture blogs that have their ear to the street, tracking the latest in fashion trends. Perhaps the best of these blogs is The Satorialist which is run by one of New York’s own. He highlights trends from Harlem to Madison Ave, with a concentration on more of a sophisticated style rather than a ratty pirate look.

Disclaimer: This post is an attempt to lure trendsters away from thrift stores! Or, maybe just to a different section in thrift stores!

Music Charts

July 29, 2006 By: Z Category: Uncategorized No Comments →

You might have noticed that I added a new page to the right column on the site called ‘Music Charts.’ This chart shows the songs that we have listened to the most during the course of the week. This service is provided by Last.fm so if you sign up for the site, request us as friends!
We are very passionate about music and will not stear you wrong! Check the charts for some new tracks and expand and enhance your taste. We often include snippets of tracks in our podcasts. If you are unsure what song is played in a particular podcast you can always check the show notes for details on the track’s title and artist. We are debating on adding a whole section about music to the broadcasts. BUT, we’ll see!

If you hate our taste in music, we still love you

Americans too Fat for X-Rays

July 28, 2006 By: Z Category: Current Events No Comments →

The BBC gives us Americans, or at least those fat Americans, a huge slap in the face by writing an article about how they are too fat to fit in x-ray machines! What ‘respectable’ traditional news agency writes about that? It is funny I guess. Make sure you read the caption under the picture on the BBC website. The first paragraph reads,

Increasing numbers of Americans are becoming too fat to fit into X-ray machines, US researchers report.

This shit is ridiculous. Lose weight!

What is the world comin’ to mannnnn?

Masturbate-a-Thon 2006 will be the first event featured on UK Channel 4’s “wank week”, and will involve hundreds of Londoners gathering in a hall to have a televised toss-off. Participants will be fapping away in hopes of garnering prizes for number of orgasms and endurance – the current record stands at over eight hours of continuous onanism. In other news, kittens everywhere are getting their affairs in order.

Movie Critic Joel Siegel Walks out of Clerks II Screening

July 27, 2006 By: Z Category: Pop Culture 1 Comment →

..and Silent Bob Strikes Back!

This is FUCKING great! This is the best thing I’ve read all week BY FAR. Good Morning America movie critic Joel Siegel walked out of the screening of Clerks II less than an hour into the movie and made a HUGE scene, apparently. In retaliation, Kevin Smith (aka Silent Bob) rips Joel a new asshole on his personal blog. Here is a little snippet,
“I don’t come down to your job and slap the taste out of your mouth for coming up with a line like “‘Shark Tale’ Is a Halibut Good Time”; so don’t fuck with my stuff WHILE IT’S STILL SCREENING.”
He later continues,
“Leave the diva-like behavior and drama-queen antics to the movie stars, not the movie reviewer, ya’ rude-ass prick.”

This quote barely scratches the surface of what Smith has to say about Siegel. You have to go read the rest. It will MAKE your day for sure.
